互知中，初約二師。所牒者，羯磨緣中牒和尚故。若下，次明十師。不共住者，不入羯磨僧中。此語簡絕一切犯重之人，故云知何不該。該，猶通也。

In mutual knowing: first, it concerns the two masters. "Those named" refers to naming the upādhyāya within the conditions of the karmavācanā. From "If" downwards, it next clarifies the ten masters. "Not dwelling together" means not entering into the saṃgha of the karmavācanā. These words exclude all persons who have committed a grave offense; hence it says, "how could such knowledge not cover them?" "Cover" means general application.
