Under 'animals': Likewise, taking on a transformed state applies here, so it also follows the previous heading. The text from 'The Vinaya' down cites evidence: That is, in the Samantapāsādikā, a dragon king, disgusted with its body, transformed into an outsider, went forth, and received the precepts; afterward, while asleep, it manifested its original form, whereupon the Buddha prohibited it, as cited in the text. The dragon serves as the origin, and all other animals are the same.
