用他事者。上科所引，既號相關，乃是彼此相通之事；必若本律限齊分明，止可全取彼部，故云還用等。如僧中有緣自說欲，行《僧祇》事（《四分》止有受轉說文，即有限故。）；通結淨地，行《五分》事（《四分》止有別結）；不應量衣說淨，行多宗事（《四分》但明應量）；十三難中犍黃門得受，鈔云必須勘取依餘部為受（《四分》自截滅擯）；別眾食開緣後二（《四分》有七，加《多論》僧次，《五分》衣時。）；自然衣界後四（本宗十一；洲井水道，並出他部。）。略示一二，餘尋鈔中。（舊記反作不得全依以釋，請用上諸事質之。）

As for "Using the transactions of others": What was cited in the above section was already designated as relevant, which are matters that mutually communicate between each other. If our root Vinaya's scope and limits are clear, one may only wholly adopt that division; hence it says "still use," and so forth. Such as when there is a circumstance in the saṃgha to declare desire oneself, carrying out the transactions of the Mahāsāṃghika (the Dharmaguptaka only has the text for receiving and relaying the declaration, which is limited); universally establishing pure ground, carrying out the transactions of the Mahīśāsaka (the Dharmaguptaka only has separate establishment); declaring purification for robes not meeting the measure, carrying out the transactions of the Sarvāstivāda school (the Dharmaguptaka only explains those meeting the measure); among the thirteen impediments, an evirated paṇḍaka being able to receive ordination, the Manual stating that one must investigate and adopt reliance on other divisions to confer ordination (the Dharmaguptaka permanently expels those who castrate themselves); the last two of the permitted circumstances for eating in separate groups (the Dharmaguptaka has seven, plus the turn in the saṃgha from the Sarvāstivāda Vinaya Vibhāṣā, and robe-time from the Mahīśāsaka); the last four of the natural robe-boundaries (our school has eleven; islet, well, and watercourse all come from other divisions). Briefly indicating one or two, the rest may be sought in the Manual. (The old records conversely interpreted it as not being permitted to rely on it completely; please verify this against the various matters above.)
