Miscellaneous marks: the first section. A water-jar conforming to the Dharma refers to a small one of one dou or less. What refers to the 'Concomitant Marks' [chapter] is that the water-strainer bag is like [the precept against] drinking water with insects, and the water-jar is like [the precept against] keeping treasures; there it says that items such as iron and clay jars, bronze basins, and bronze bowls may be individually received. (That vinaya includes the rainy-season robe among the six requisites, and the water-strainer bag as a communal requisite.)
