二十三。（佛在舍衛，尼聞教授師來，出迎供給；六群生嫉，云彼無但實為食故，因制。）
Twenty-three. (The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. The bhikṣuṇīs heard that the instructing teacher was coming and went out to welcome and provide for him. The ṣaḍvargikas grew jealous, saying: 'That one has none [of virtue], but is truly doing it for food'; on this account it was prohibited.)
