次科,初敘過。京輦即京兆府。(王者都處,謂之輦下。)不依疏僧,非名請者。闐音田,𨶮音噎,謂隘塞也。親下,訶誡。遮客獨噉,下流所為;況僧海同和,友自安忍,故云過深。斂迹謂掩其惡迹,勿復為之。《五分》下,引證。彼云應語主聽入;若不許者,始令往寺,故云乃至。
In the next section, first, the fault is described. 'The capital' refers to Jingzhao Prefecture (the place where the king resides is called 'beneath the carriage'). Those who do not rely on the distributed saṃgha are not those named in the invitation. 闐 is pronounced *tián*, and 𨶮 is pronounced *yè*, meaning congested and obstructed. From 'Intimate' on, it is a rebuke and admonition. Blocking visiting guests to eat alone is the conduct of the base; how much more so when the ocean-like saṃgha is together in harmony, and yet a friend tolerates it oneself—thus it says 'the fault is grave.' 'Withdrawing one's tracks' means concealing one's evil tracks and never committing them again. From 'The Five-Part [Vinaya]' on, scriptural proof is cited. That text states that one should tell the host to permit entry; only if he does not allow it should one then send them to the monastery; hence it says 'and so forth.'
