In the explanation, in the first section, the Vinayadvāviṃśatividyā-śāstra's upper two lines eliminate: that is, oneself and those of one's own kind are both not capable grantors. "The rest..." onwards directly indicates them. The three kinds are humans, non-humans, and animals. The text specifies that they must understand and know, and they must possess all three; if lacking them, it is unaccomplished. In the Sarvāstivāda Vinaya Vibhāṣā, "among humans, does not extend to non-humans or animals" refers to places where there are many people; conversely, one knows that only when no humans are present is an exception granted for different kinds.
