二中，初示時限。不必黑白兩月。若下，明浴法。言無緣者，由依制限，不必約緣。陶家即範土家，洗法先下後上，於事順便，故取為式。下卷指〈雜行篇〉。

In the second, it first indicates the time limit; it need not be the two halves of the month, dark and bright. From 'If' onward, it explains the method of bathing. The phrase 'without circumstance' means that because one relies on the prescribed limit, one does not need to depend on a circumstance. 'Potters' means those who mold clay; their washing method is first from below and then above, which is convenient in practice, so it is taken as the model. The lower scroll refers to the 'Chapter on Miscellaneous Practices.'
