五十七。（佛在曠野城，六群露地拾柴草然火向，蛇從木出，遂驚擲火燒佛講堂，故制。）

[Precept] Fifty-seven. (The Buddha was in the city of Āṭavī. The group of six gathered firewood and grass in an open space and lit a fire to warm themselves. A snake emerged from the wood, and in fright they threw the fire, which burned down the Buddha's lecture hall; hence it was formulated.)
