In the *Sarvāstivāda Vinaya Vibhāṣā*, the above explains that for illicit articles the offense is light. 'Improper' was originally camel and ox mixed-hair robes, which is now replaced with the two characters 'improper.' From 'Not yet' onward, it explains establishing a heavy offense for proper articles. In the note, regarding dyed robes and white almsbowls, in principle they should be the same; yet the treatise divides them into light and heavy, from which we know that dyed robes are definitely illicit; therefore it is specifically pointed out to check errors and abuses.
