指略中。彼第一云：為道制戒，本非世福。又云：若原制意，為道方便；三乘學人，必由斯迹；廣文如彼，餘自尋之。

In pointing out the omissions: the first [part] of that work says: instituting the precepts is for the sake of the path, originally not for mundane blessings. It also says: if one traces the original intention behind the institution, it serves as an expedient means for the path; students of the three vehicles must follow these tracks.
