六十四。（佛在舍衛，跋難陀與親友比丘數犯，向說不語人知；後與共鬪便相說，因制。）名標麁罪，對簡下篇。

Sixty-four. (The Buddha was in Śrāvastī; Upananda and an intimate bhikṣu repeatedly committed offenses and spoke to each other without letting others know; later, when they quarreled, they exposed each other, so the prohibition was instituted.) The title designates a "crude offense" to contrast and distinguish it from the lower categories.
