八十四。（佛在舍衛，迦留陀夷知佛從此道來，敷高好床，白言著我床座，佛呵因制。）
[Precept] Eighty-four. (The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. Udāyin, knowing that the Buddha was coming along this road, laid out a tall, fine bed and said: 'Sit upon my bed.' The Buddha rebuked him, and occasioned by this, enacted the prohibition.)
