滅諍一篇，所以不釋者；以相雜難明，末世稀用；既非鈔意，故此削之。如《集義鈔》、《戒疏》具委。

The reason why the section on Settling Disputes is not commented upon is that its marks are complex and difficult to understand, and it is rarely used in the final age; since it was not the intent of the *Manual*, it is omitted here. It is treated in full detail in the *Collected Meanings Manual* and the *Precept Commentary*.
