三結界中，初斥單結戒場。更下，不字疑是多寫，去之則義便。直結小界，即目戒場，對大言小；如前結法，可知。今下，次斥無緣結小界。此即三小，有難應法，無故為非。

In the third, "Delineating Boundaries": first, it refutes merely delineating a precept-platform alone. Below "further," the character "not" (不) is suspected to be a redundant scribal error; removing it makes the meaning smooth. Directly delineating a small boundary refers to the precept-platform, called "small" in contrast to the "great"; as with the preceding method of delineation, it may be understood. From "now" downward, it next refutes delineating a small boundary without a cause. This refers to the three small [boundaries]; where there is a hardship, it complies with the Dharma, but without a cause, it is improper.
