次約行中，前明二持。即心用雙持，通一切戒。修觀止緣，通約化業，並非制教。（準知心用止作，則通化制；教行止作，唯句制教。）慈悲愍物行，治殺；少欲知足行，治盜；離染淨行，治婬；如實語行，治妄。

Next, in "In Terms of Practice," the two maintenances are explained first. That is, dual maintenance by mental function extends to all precepts. Cultivating contemplation to stop conditions is generally in terms of teaching karma, not prohibitory teaching. (Accordingly, know that cessation and action of mental function extend to both transformative teaching and prohibitory teaching; cessation and action of practice according to teaching are restricted solely to prohibitory teaching.) The practice of compassion and pitying living beings remedies killing; the practice of few desires and contentment remedies stealing; the pure practice of departing from defilement remedies lust; the practice of truthful speech remedies falsehood.
