五中，《十誦》十六人。種種不共住，即訶責等四羯磨人。乃至者略式叉沙彌。謂與如上等人共處，無清淨僧，既不成發露，則覆亦不成也。《伽論》五人。《五分》，知識多處，縱有淨僧，亦不成覆。

In the fifth, the Daśādhyāya-vinaya has sixteen persons. 'Various forms of non-cohabitation' refers to persons under the four karmas of censure and so forth. 'Up to...' abbreviates śikṣamāṇās and śrāmaṇeras. It means that living together with persons such as the above, there being no pure Saṃgha, since disclosure is not accomplished, concealment is also not accomplished. The Saṃghabhedavastu has five persons. The Mahīśāsaka-vinaya states that in a place with many friends, even if there are pure monks, it also does not constitute concealment.
