五多少中。此科不局戒體，總列八種，善惡定散，世出世業，一切通收，故云泛也。標中云依《多論》者，若順多宗，應云無教；但名通彼此，趣爾舉之。

In the fifth, quantity: this section is not limited to the precept-essence; it comprehensively lists eight types, completely subsuming wholesome and unwholesome, meditative and non-meditative, mundane and supramundane karma, hence it is called "general." The designation stating "according to the Sarvāstivāda Vinaya Vibhāṣā": if conforming to the Sarvāstivāda school, it should say "non-informative" (avijñapti); but since the name is used by both, it is mentioned casually.
