列釋中。問：作俱既與方便齊生，何名無作？答：雖與作俱，不妨彼體不假緣搆；以二法相違，性不可合故。疏云：不由心起，任運相感，故即號曰作俱無作是也。

In listing and explaining: Question: Since that which coexists with the active arises simultaneously with the preparatory stage, why is it called non-active? Answer: Although coexisting with the active, this does not hinder its essence from not relying on construction by conditions, because the two dharmas are contrary and their natures cannot be merged. The commentary states: "Not arising from the mind, it spontaneously induces its counterpart, and hence is called the non-active coexisting with the active"—this is it.
