四發戒，標中。指如上者，亦〈受戒篇〉。世俗，即隨流之徒，非白衣也。相即境相，法即戒法。下句顯益，即兩利也。

Section four, on the arising of the precepts: in the heading, 'as above' refers again to the 'Chapter on Receiving Precepts'. 'Worldlings' refers to those who drift with the flow, not to laypersons in white robes. 'Marks' means the marks of the objects; 'dharmas' means the precept-dharmas. The lower phrase shows the benefit, which is the mutual benefit [of self and other].
