次科，初過中，先牒計。此下，斥奪，上句指過。損字寫誤，準疏合作增。下二句申理。謂所能生非能中，戒則有減；非能生能中，戒則容增，故云互轉生也。疏云：如獵持猪羊戒，死生麞鹿，戒則減也；或鹿生羊中，戒則增也。屠者例爾。

In the next heading, under the first fault, he first repeats the position. From 'This' downward, he refutes and rejects it; the upper line points out the fault. The character 'decrease' (損) is a scribal error; according to the Commentary, it should be 'increase' (增). The lower two lines state the reasoning: if that which is capable is born among the incapable, the precepts would decrease; if that which is incapable is born among the capable, the precepts would potentially increase; hence he says 'transmuting into one another and taking rebirth'. The Commentary states: 'Like a hunter maintaining precepts toward pigs and sheep: if they die and are born as roe deer and stags, the precepts would decrease; or if a deer is born among sheep, the precepts would increase.' It is the same for the butcher.
