釋妨中。說相列十，而云同僧，正相違故。此下，釋通，初出列相之意。故下，以具戒白四比類。方列十四者，十即十戒，對上三歸；四即四重，對一羯磨。

In resolving the objection: it lists ten in explaining the marks, yet says they are identical to a bhikṣu's, which is directly contradictory. From "This" downward resolves and clarifies it; it first gives the intention behind listing the marks. From "Therefore" downward draws a comparison with the jñaptidvitīyā of the full precepts. "Only listing fourteen": ten refers to the ten precepts, corresponding to the three refuges above; four refers to the four pārājikas, corresponding to the single karmavācanā.
