In the marks of violation, the first text: according to the Commentary, there are only five conditions, lacking the present fifth. There it asks: "In these conditions for stealing here, why is there no preparatory stage?" The answer is: stealing is explained by causing loss of property, which at once becomes a grave offense; when stealing constitutes a grave offense, it does not rely on a preparatory stage, for fear of involving confusion; even if there were a preparatory stage, neither would be clear; one only needs to know that prior to not having departed [the place], it is entirely subsumed under the preparatory stage. Now the Transactions Manual does not explain it, and the intention can also be seen. Summarizing the conditions of violation, they do not go beyond mind and object: the first and fourth are the object; the second, third, and fifth are the mind; the sixth combines both, because mind and object unite.
