The third, offerings: namely incense, lamps, flowers, banners, and offering requisites. First, citing the Vinaya to clarify trading can be understood. Next, citing the treatise to clarify transformation: first, citing the text. From "According to..." downward, theoretical resolution. Above it says: "One may make other Buddha affairs," meaning remodeling them into silk canopies, banners, drapes, and the like; however, having once been offered to the Buddha, their substance cannot be altered; fearing they might be used for other purposes, it specifically indicates this; unlike the previous flowers, which can be taken and traded. From "As..." downward, citing an example. "Destroying with good intention" means intentionally transforming them to make them good again.
