四獻佛者，即飲食之物。初引示。律取營治，似局道人；論約給侍，明通道俗。準下，次斥濫。有執偽經，用錢贖食；準論白衣侍佛，直云得食；良可決正。

The fourth, items presented to the Buddha: namely food and drink. First, citing and showing it. The Vinaya takes managing and maintaining, which seems restricted to monastics; the treatise relies on serving and attending, clarifying that it applies to both monastics and laity. From "According to..." downward, next, refuting irregularities. Some adhere to apocryphal scriptures, using money to redeem the food; according to the treatise, when a white-robed layperson serves the Buddha, it directly says he may eat it; this truly provides a definitive correction.
