十二。（佛在舍衛，有比丘在䩭連聚落行惡污家，舍利弗往擯反謗，故制。）戒名。舉下列緣，配對可見。

The twelfth. (When the Buddha was in Śrāvastī, there were bhikṣus in the village of Kīṭāgiri who committed evil and corrupted families; Śāriputra went to expel them and they in turn slandered him, hence it was instituted.) The name of the precept: by citing the enumeration of conditions below, the correlation can be seen.
