The *Vinayadvāviṃśatividyā-śāstra* lays out four permutations based on the eye and the body. In the first permutation, saying "it enters the count" means that one counts the ten days taking this as the beginning. The next permutation does not express its characteristics, such as receiving an object in the darkness of clouds and mist. That the third, being both, enters the count is obvious; conversely clarifying that it is not in the count uniquely reveals an unusual characteristic. The fourth is neither, as when an object is in another place and one sends word ordering its reception, or the case of forming an idea in the *Mātṛkā-śāstra*; all such cases may enter the count.
