五提舍尼，翻名中，初示名。言向彼者，即對首人，故云對治境也。次引證。《僧祇》，得上悔義，不兼所對。戒本具明，即云：應向餘比丘悔過等是也。

Under the fifth [class], pātideśanīya, regarding the translation of the name: first, the name is shown. To say "toward that person" refers to the facing counterpart, hence it is called "the object of remediation". Next, proof is cited: the Mahāsāṃghika captures the meaning of "confession upward", without including the one who is faced. The prātimokṣa explains it fully, stating: "One ought to confess the fault toward another bhikṣu", etc.
