不犯有四。如文相別。注列七世，從父上下各取三世。高謂最上，七世極故。曾猶重也，重禰祖故，禰即始也，謂父之父是初祖故。母親準說，但以舅姨兒孫數之。

Non-offense has four [cases], distinct as in the text. The note lists seven generations, taking three generations each above and below from the father. "Great-great" (gao) means the highest, the ultimate of seven generations. "Great" (zeng) means doubled, doubling the ancestral father (nie); nie means the beginning, meaning the father's father is the initial ancestor. The mother's side is explained accordingly, counted solely through maternal uncles, aunts, children, and grandchildren.
