Under minor offenses: The *Sarvāstivāda Vinaya Vibhāṣā* has five sections. First, it explains making it oneself. "Without a silkworm household" means it came via transfer. Saying "no offense" is because there are no worms. If there are worms, even selling it incurs an offense, how could making it oneself be allowed? From "For" below, second, it clarifies selling it. Not making garments for oneself; thus it continues there: "If there are no worms, there is no offense." From "If begged" below, third, it clarifies already made. Not offending is because it is not a silkworm household. From "If worms" below, fourth, it clarifies ruined by worms. Because there is no harm done. The treatise has "ruined by silkworms", which is feared to be a scribal error. From "Making" below, fifth, making other garments. Both incurring duṣkṛta must be spoken of with respect to begging from silkworm households. It says there: "Down to four cubits, forfeiture and pāyattika"; by contrast, one knows that what is inappropriate is minor. It also says: "If combined with hemp garments, karpāsa, coarse wool garments, or kambala to make a spreading-cloth, it is a duṣkṛta"; hence it says "all".
