對揀中。四句，文出互二句。三作故如量，前後不犯；四作新過量不貼犯二戒。（若行懺時，準疏先悔量外，然後捨懺。）

Under contrast and selection: Four propositions. The text produces two alternating propositions: (3) making the old according to measure, neither before nor after is an offense; (4) making a new one exceeding the measure without patching incurs offenses against two precepts. (When practicing repentance, according to the Commentary, one first repents the excess of the measure, and then forfeits and repents.)
