Under clarifying exceptions: the three passages cited earlier permit touching to relieve illness. Furthermore, the two paragraphs below are also from the Daśādhyāya-vinaya; the first passage merely says "permitted to receive," but in principle it does not mean taking and holding, hence it is resolved according to principle. Malli: the Western Regions Record states that this is translated as "quince"; because of having offered a quince in the past, one obtained this present reward. Also, from "the householder" downward, the next paragraph again has two parts: first, explaining gardens and fields. These are permanent property, so there is an offense only in receiving them. Later, explaining the four requisites: these are present property, so there are offenses in both receiving and using them. The text clearly states the offense for using, and receiving should be the same. Because they were originally given to the Saṃgha, there is a mitigation; by this one should know that Saṃgha property is also not fit to be held.
