不犯中三，初迷忘不犯。若下，非室不犯。三位九別，初三句覆遍障缺，次三句障周覆欽，後三覆障俱缺。言此室者，總前九種。開行坐者，據成室相，有伴方開；此諸非室，無伴亦許；準約同臥，亦應犯輕。若病下，難緣不犯。

Under non-violations, there are three: first, delusion and forgetfulness incur no violation. Below "if," non-rooms incur no violation. There are three categories with nine distinctions: the first three sentences have complete covering but deficient walls; the next three sentences have complete walls but deficient covering; the last three have both covering and walls deficient. Saying "this room" summarizes the preceding nine types. Permitting walking and sitting is based on forming the marks of a room, where only with a companion is it permitted; in these various non-rooms, it is permitted even without a companion; following this in regard to lying down together, one should also incur a light offense. Below "if sick," adversity conditions incur no violation.
