第七。（佛在羅閱城，有行別住比丘在下行坐，六群以所犯事向白衣說；餘比丘皆慚，故制。）

The seventh [rule]. (When the Buddha was in Rājagṛha, there was a bhikṣu undergoing probation sitting in the lower rows, and the ṣaḍvargikas spoke of the offense he had committed to white-robed laymen. The other bhikṣus were all ashamed, so it was prohibited.)
