《善見》，前明非地。文列三相。砂地土少無犯，《僧祇》半砂吉；義準砂少，即同生地。若野火下，示緣開。

In the Samantapāsādikā, it first explains what is not soil. The text lists three characteristics. If it is sandy ground with little soil, there is no offense; in the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya, ground that is half sand incurs a duṣkṛta; by analogical deduction, if there is little sand, it is treated the same as live soil. From "If wild fire..." downward, it indicates an exception due to circumstances.
