In the fourth [section], it first explains the integration of robes. The text cites sewing a patch onto a robe; based on the treatise, if the robe has not been purified but the patch has already been purified, sewing it on is also like this. "Five below" next explains that there are two kinds of integration of colors. The first two sentences explain the integration of colored robes. The treatise says: Śāriputra obtained a high-quality colored patch and sewed it onto his robe; the Buddha permitted him to keep it. (This is not cited in the present text, but is cited in the Annotated Karmavācanā.) High-quality colors, brocade colors, and white colors, even if integrated, should not be kept. (The text excludes brocade and white; the present Transactions Manual comprehensively excludes the five primary colors; but since the passage above allows keeping it, it must not be a fine color.) "If below..." next explains the integration of dyed colors. First, "with primary and non-primary": this means first dyeing with a primary [color]; relative to other colors below, that is non-primary; first dyeing with a non-primary [color], relative to the primary color below. Referring to it as in the "Concomitant Marks" refers to the new robe precept.
