三中，初立契。別活返道，謂本立要，預約後事。若下，分法。言準俗者，俗法爾故。已用服器未須分者，各屬定故。言依式者，即準俗法。

In the third, first is establishing the contract. 'Living separately or returning to lay life' means having originally established an agreement, arranging in advance for future events. 'If...' is the method of distribution. Saying 'in accordance with secular [law]' is because secular law is just so. The reason that 'used garments and utensils need not yet be distributed' is because each belongs to a determined party. Saying 'according to the formal rule' means in accordance with secular law.
