In the seventh: regarding boots and shoes of coloured thread, The Ceremonial Standard states: "Those made at that time with three platforms, dragons, and phoenixes (having three tiers on the toe), or embroidered and stitched with variegated coloured threads, are reckoned as heavy. Men's and women's clothing refers to the flower-patterned, coloured clothes of young boys and girls. Patchwork squares: an ancient commentary says: 'That is, cut from five colours into square patches and sewn together.' The Ceremonial Standard states: 'Embroidered, tie-dyed, braided, intricately patterned coloured bags are all reckoned as heavy; solid-coloured felt bags and the like are all eligible for distribution.' That embroidered, intricate bowl bags are light is because they are judged along with the bowl. If one follows the text of the Ceremonial Standard, it states: 'Decorated with embroidered colours, they may be singly extracted and reckoned as heavy, because their matter is identical to clothing of embroidered brocade.'"
