次科。上座告者，即獎飾之意。看病謙者，不自伐也。僧抑伏者，上座應云：此佛嚴制，不在辭遜；當受羯磨，便即互跪。

In the next section: the Elder announcing means an intention of praise and encouragement. The sick-carer's humility means not boasting of oneself. Regarding the Saṃgha overruling: the Elder should say, 'This is the Buddha's strict injunction and does not depend on polite modesty; you should receive the karmavācanā,' whereupon [the recipient] immediately kneels on both knees.
