In resolving doubts: the first inquiry. Because items belong to the current boundary, it is improper to take them outside; texts of the teaching appear conflicting, hence the question resolves it. In the answer: first, directly answering. Saying 'difficult to divide' means perhaps in the original place, many people come and go, causing crowded confusion difficult to sort out. Selecting a separate quiet place, one therefore must proclaim it to address the Saṃgha and let them know; this permits taking them outside the boundary. The Daśādhyāya-vinaya states that taking the Saṃgha's donated items outside the boundary incurs a duṣkṛta; deceased property is treated similarly, hence it is said to incur an offense. In the note, it harmonizes the text from the previous section where taking them outside the boundary to receive separately violates the rule. From 'Daśādhyāya' onward, it clarifies monks and nuns demanding from each other. It also shows incorporating them back into the original boundary. What is distinguished in the note is comparable to the texts above.
