In the fifth section, directly explaining: first, explaining the seven-day [medicine], which also has two [parts]: first, explaining that verbal reception requires recitation. The text lists three meanings: namely substance, strength, and flavor; all three being powerful and superior, greed and attachment are frequent. Next, explaining that hand reception does not require it: although possessing the three meanings, it only reaches before noon and thus the time is brief, and the mind of greedy storage is weak, so faults are rare; "rare" also means few. From "The remaining..." downward, second, explaining that the three medicines do not require it. Timed medicine has the third meaning, un-timed has the first meaning, and lifetime medicine has the second meaning; or again they combine two, but they do not possess all three, hence it says "the opposite meanings," and so forth.
