第十四，初科，前明受他施。招提通四方僧受用。諸下，次明開自造。但須應量，如二房中。律下，指廣。即〈房舍犍度〉中，彼明作房法；若作隔障，房前障；作內房，作戶壁，半壁，大床，小床，須板，地敷，四邊出舍，雜物，一一白佛，佛並言聽，故云事事等。若下，明修治。

In the fourteenth, the first section: the previous part explains accepting others' donations. 'Cāturdiśa' applies to the use and enjoyment by the Saṃgha of the four directions. From 'Various...' onward, next it explains permission to construct by oneself. One only needs to observe the proper dimensions, as in the two-room case. From 'Vinaya...' onward, it points to broader details, namely in the 'Skandhaka on Dwellings', which explains the methods of making rooms; whether making partitions, screens before rooms, inner rooms, door walls, half-walls, large beds, small beds, required boards, floor coverings, eaved extensions on four sides, or miscellaneous items, in every single case one reported to the Buddha, and the Buddha permitted them all; hence it says 'every matter', and so on. From 'If...' onward, it explains maintenance and repair.
