3.557

《僧祇》具明二境，初句總告。計下，示觀。上二句觀功。文舉一粒，以少況多。次二句觀來處。末句斥損費。

The *Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya* fully explains the two realms. The first line addresses them generally. From "Calculate" below, it shows the contemplation. The upper two lines contemplate the labor. The text brings up a single grain to use the small to illustrate the great. The next two lines contemplate the origin [of the food]. The final line censures loss and waste.
