In the fourth, because having previously eaten the main meal is sufficient to satisfy oneself, if one wishes to eat again before midday, an exception allows one to eat after performing the procedure for residual food; the ritual procedure is fully presented in 'Concomitant Marks'. Those of superior capacity and few desires do not take advantage of this exception, hence it receives its name. In the Mahāprajñāpāramitā-śāstra: above it explains seeking [food], verifying the lack of moderation above; 'subsequent meal' refers to residual food. 'Losing half a day' verifies obstructing one's practice above. From 'The Buddha' onward, it shows the intention of leaving household life: raising a horse aims at its strength, raising a pig aims at its meat; leaving household life to practice the Way does not aim at physical strength. That this and the sixth do not have the ten benefits is because the Daśabhūmika-vibhāṣā lacks these two practices, as explained below under the different practices of the various schools.
