Eleventh, sitting wherever one finds oneself: This means sitting wherever there are no people, not necessarily under trees or in the open air. The Vimuttimagga calls it "sitting in whatever place one happens upon," explaining: "Because one does not take delight in what people covet, and does not trouble others to make them yield their seats." Among the ten, the first and second can be understood; the third means having nothing to yield; the fourth means not making others move away; the fifth is regarding hopes; the sixth is regarding other affairs; the eighth is regarding one's own duties; the ninth means not troubling others, as that text states fully: "Not giving rise to causes and conditions for disputes."
