次科。問意，恐謂下眾同大僧故。答中二義，初約戒等釋。未具總名者，同號沙彌故。無勝德者，戒體同故。又下，次約非師釋。大僧不爾，反上二義；故百歲比丘尼，禮初夏比丘足也。

The next section. The intent of the question is the fear that the inferior assemblies might be considered the same as the fully ordained bhikṣus. In the answer there are two points: first, explaining through equality of precepts. "Having the general name before being fully ordained" refers to sharing the name of śrāmaṇera. "Lacking superior virtue" is because the precept-essence is the same. From "Furthermore..." downward, next it is explained by not being a master. Fully ordained bhikṣus are not like this, reversing the above two meanings; therefore, a bhikṣuṇī of a hundred years bows to the feet of a bhikṣu of his first summer retreat.
