第二法附，造像中，初科，上句標示。如來下，正明。現在，即化相佛法，一期益近；未來，即住持佛法，三時益遠；即經云：應可度者，皆悉已度；其未度，作得度緣，是也。

Second, attached to the Dharma: making images. In the first section, the upper line marks and indicates it. From "The Tathāgata..." downward, it directly clarifies it. The present refers to the transformed appearance of the Buddha Dharma, whose benefit is immediate within a single period; the future refers to the Buddha Dharma of maintenance, whose benefit is distant across the three periods; that is what the sūtra calls: 'Those who should be saved have all been saved; for those who have not yet been saved, he has created the conditions for being saved.'
