3.778

四中。說已入禪；大聖垂則，嚴勗後來。儒中，君子言之不出，恥躬不逮；又云：先行其言，而後從之。況佛法修真，言行相反。深嗟彼徒，那無慚色。

In the fourth part, after expounding [the Dharma], he entered dhyāna; the Great Sage handed down this rule to strictly admonish later generations. In Confucianism: "The gentleman is slow to speak, being ashamed lest his actions not keep pace"; further, it says: "He first practices his words, and then follows them." How much more so in cultivating truth in the Buddhadharma, where words and actions are contrary! Deeply lamenting those people—how can they have no look of shame?
