3.82

三中，初科，前引二文明開。《了論》著一即五條，披一即七條，留一即大衣。《四分》，疑怖者，疑有恐怖故。入聚下，次引三文以明制法。今入聚不著，步步違制。

In the third [part], the first section earlier cites two texts to clarify the exceptions. In the *Vinayadvāviṃśatividyā-śāstra*, 'wearing one' means the five-strip robe; 'draping one' means the seven-strip robe; 'leaving one behind' means the great robe. In the *Dharmaguptaka-vinaya*, 'doubt and fear' means suspecting there is terror. From 'Entering the village' onward, next it cites three texts to clarify the prohibitive regulations. Nowadays, not wearing them when entering a village violates the regulation with every step.
