3.889

三中，初顯要。必下，勸修。則下，彰益。怯懦，即畏懼也。反知不學，動用乖儀；入眾遊方，能無疑懼；寄言學者，幸留意焉。

In the third [part]: first, it displays its importance. From "must" onward, it encourages cultivation. From "then" onward, it manifests the benefit. "Timid and weak" means fearful. Conversely, we know that if one does not study, one's movements will contravene proper deportment; entering the assembly or traveling afar, how could one be free of doubt and fear? Directing these words to scholars, may they pay heed to them!
